Frequently asked questions about prenuptial agreements and MAERRY
Marriage itself is already a contract, and without a prenuptial agreement, you automatically live in the statutory property regime of the community of accrued gains, i.e., the “legislator’s prenuptial agreement”. In our view, this statutory regulation is no longer up to date for many of today’s marriages. Incidentally, it is a misconception that without a prenuptial agreement, half belongs to everyone automatically - for this regulation, you actually need a prenuptial agreement.
A divorce consequences agreement is a notarized contract in which the division of the marriage is jointly agreed upon. So practically a prenuptial agreement when the end of the marriage is foreseeable. A divorce consequences agreement not only makes a divorce significantly cheaper, it also goes much faster.
Prenuptial agreements and divorce consequences agreements usually have three components: property regime, maintenance, and pension equalization. We have stored a wide variety of constellations for these components in our app, from which the appropriate contract tailored to your needs is created for you individually and automatically. By automating the process, we can work faster and more cost-effectively than is the case with classic legal advice. Thanks to our lawyer legal check, a contract generated with MAERRY is in no way inferior to a classically created lawyer’s contract.
Using our app, you can easily receive your prenuptial agreement directly on your smartphone. You neither have to make annoying appointments nor take advantage of legal advice on site. For our questionnaire, we evaluated years of experience from legal consultations and reduced the questions to a minimum in order to efficiently create the best possible contract for your needs.
Prenuptial agreements can be concluded both before and during the marriage. At the end of the marriage, these are then called divorce consequences agreements.
Every contract automatically generated by us is checked for legal security by lawyers licensed in Germany before it is sent. This ensures that you receive a proper legal service that is in no way inferior to “on-site advice”.
